What’s happening at Dobbies Garden Centre Birtley?
This Christmas Dobbies Garden Centres are helping raise money for Starlight Children’s Foundation – a national charity that brightens the lives of seriously ill children across the UK.
Dobbies Birtley are helping to sponsor Ryan’s wish!
Seventeen year old Ryan from Middlesborough was diagnosed at the age of four with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, a severe muscle wasting condition.
Ryan’s parents said “Ryan is an inspiration to all of us. He would never say he suffers from a condition but instead says he lives with it”.
Ryan’s Starlight wish is to go on a family holiday to Spain and stay in adapted disabled accommodation.
Ryan explained to Starlight, “I want to go on holiday to an adapted villa in Spain as it would give me and my brothers a chance to enjoy each other’s company in a different environment and give me my independence.”
