Flighty’s Plot is a blog that documents the progress of one gardener (Flighty) as he attempts to tame an unruly half plot and transform it into 28×56 feet of green-fingered heaven.
Describing himself as a ‘lifelong lawn lounger’, Flighty always has something interesting to say about gardening, whether that’s in the form of a story about his own allotment or just a general quip.
Flighty's Plot - Sometimes about growing vegetables, but always entertaining
As you’d probably expect from a blog about an allotment, there’s plenty of advice on growing vegetables and some lovely pictures of the fresh seasonal produce that Flighty can boast throughout the year.
But there’s far more than veggie-talk going on at Flighty’s Plot and in many ways, that’s what makes this blog stand out from the crowd.
In a five minute visit you’ll find all kinds of beautiful photography of plants, flowers and visiting wildlife. There are also reviews of gardening books, television programmes and other horticultural blogs. I even found a poem, which perfectly illustrates the amazing variety you can expect from every post on this entertaining blog.
So if you haven’t visited Flighty’s Plot, make sure you do as it’s a great read.

Hello, and many apologies for not commenting before now! I read this within a day or so of you posting it, made a note to do so later then completely forget!
It’s much appreciated that you’ve included ‘Flighty’s plot’ here, especially as I feel that there are other gardening blogs much more worthy of inclusion.
I’ve always tried to make it a light-hearted, but informative read. From your comments it seems that I’ve succeeded which is highly gratifying.
Once again my thanks!
Great choice Ian. It’s not only the blog that’s good. Flighty was one of my first commenters when I started blogging and the one of the reasons why I’m still around after nearly 2 years of blogging is down to his support, encouragement and continued cheerful comments.
