Enjoy outdoors more with garden seats

The best and simplest way of enjoying your garden more is to add some garden seats.

Having somewhere to sit and relax, will encourage you and visitors to spend time in the garden. Depending on how much room you have and how many people you want to seat, there are several very simple options.

Garden benches

Easiest of all is a garden bench; they last for years and blend beautifully with the natural landscape. Benches provide an excellent reading spot or space for sitting back and enjoying the fruits of your garden labour. For maximum comfort you should consider sourcing a suitably sized garden bench cushion. Whilst the design and curves of a bench are tailored for your comfort, a cushion or two will avoid a numb derriere.

Garden chairs

Garden chairs are an obvious choice. Chairs normally come as part of a dining set, but if you do not need a table then a few plastic stackable chairs are cheap and convenient. If you want to dine outdoors then garden furniture sets are the best option. Bistro sets consist of a small table and two chairs, perfect for small courtyards and balconies. Garden dining sets normally start with four simple chairs and a table, but can expand to full 8 seater furniture sets with cushions, lazy susans and parasols.

Swing seats

Swing seats take relaxation further by allowing you to rock the afternoons away in perfect comfort with fully padded seats. These are popular on the patio and perfect for secluded suntraps. Garden furniture covers are recommended to keep your swing seats sheltered from wintry weather, as they can be difficult to move and store away.

Garden loungers

For the ultimate chill-out experience you need a recliner or sun-lounger. A recliner will let you lie back, put your feet up and soak up the sun. Garden seats that recline in this way double up as both chairs and sun loungers and usually come with comfortable padded cushions. Loungers are made from a range of materials; wood looks elegant and natural, wicker or plastic is light and strong, and textilene is a modern material that will provide comfort, strength and a contemporary look.

A few carefully selected garden seats can transform your outdoor living space, in to a place you will want to spend time in peace and good company.
