Perhaps it’s because the author is more of a novice that every article is easy to follow and every bit of advice is clearly explained. Whatever the reason, it makes for good reading.
It’s also very easy to relate to the Stopwatch Gardener as she often draws on issues all gardeners understand. For instance, “Because I get so little time in the garden, I spend many hours staring out the window at what I’d like to be doing, while I’m deep in the realities of feeding children/washing dishes/writing at the PC.”
As seems to be the case with all the best gardening blogs, the design of The Stopwatch Gardener is simple (making it easy to navigate) but eye-catching with splashes of colour in all the right areas. It’s easy to underestimate the importance of aesthetics, but good design does make reading a blog far easier on the eye.
The Stopwatch Gardener has plenty of insights to offer and advice to share, making it well worth a visit and very much worthy of being Dobbies Gardening Blog of the Week.
