The information on Water Butts is very helpful. I am a great fan as they save money and water, Water Butts are environmentally friendly and are ideal situated next to the veg plot and greenhouse. I would just like to share my recent experience having failed to drain the Water Butt before the recent freezing spell. Naturally the water froze and expanded; result the Water Butt cracked under pressure and now has to be replaced.
